Cookies and statistics

This website does not set cookies. Our visitor statistics use Matomo, which we run on our own servers, configured not to use cookies and to shorten IP addresses, so no consent banner is needed. No advertising or social media trackers are used.

Who else handles it

  • SendPulse delivers the emails sent from the contact form (the message to us, and the acknowledgement to you).
  • Our email provider hosts our mailboxes, where enquiries are received.
  • Cloudflare protects and speeds up this website, and processes connection data such as IP addresses to do so.
  • Our hosting providers run the servers this website and our statistics run on, in the European Economic Area.

Some of these providers may process data outside Jersey, the UK and the European Economic Area. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries: for as long as needed to deal with them and any work that follows, and no longer than two years after our last contact, unless we then have a contract with you.
  • Visitor statistics: kept on our own server and never shared; we keep them only as long as they are useful for improving the site.
  • Server and security logs: kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting, then deleted.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018, and the UK GDPR and EU GDPR where they apply, you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy to take elsewhere. Email hello@iotci.co.uk and we'll respond within a month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner (jerseyoic.org), or to the data protection authority where you live.

Changes

We'll update this notice if what we do changes, and show the date at the top.
