The challenge
Commercial e-bike riders, such as delivery riders, ride long hours in traffic, and the companies they ride for, their insurers and road safety bodies have very little reliable data about how and where incidents happen. A new company wanted to prove that trusted ride data could change that, and needed a working platform to show investors, insurers and operators.
What we did
- Proof-of-concept platform: e-bike trackers and phone-based tracking feed rides into a multi-tenant platform with dashboards for riders, fleet operators and insurers.
- Ride and incident insight: journeys, speeds, harsh events and incident locations, mapped against the real cycle network, so risk can be seen by street and by time of day.
- Demonstration data: a realistic synthetic dataset across a whole city, clearly separated from real devices, so the platform could be shown safely before live riders joined.
- The company’s website: designed and built the public site, with fast static pages, privacy-first analytics, secure contact and demonstration forms, and a library of research articles.
The result
The client took a working platform and a live website into its investor and insurer meetings, rather than slides. The same building blocks, trackers, a multi-tenant data platform and insight dashboards, apply to any fleet where safety and evidence matter.
