The requirement
Food businesses must keep chilled and frozen food at safe temperatures under their HACCP procedures, and record that they have. Vaccines and many medicines must be stored between +2 °C and +8 °C. Paper check sheets filled in twice a day miss overnight failures, and a failed fridge is often found only when the stock is already lost.
Our approach
Small sensors inside fridges, freezers and cold rooms report every few minutes, day and night:
- alerts by SMS or email the moment a unit goes out of range, or a door is left open;
- automatic records that replace paper check sheets;
- defrost-cycle detection, so normal behaviour doesn’t trigger alarms;
- trends that show a unit beginning to struggle, before it fails.
Devices we use
- Fridge and freezer temperature sensors
- Probe sensors for cold rooms and display cases
- Door open sensors
