The requirement
Escape of water is one of the largest causes of building insurance claims, and a slow leak in an empty flat or plant room can run for days before anyone notices. Outdoors, flooding from rivers, drains and the sea needs early warning.
Our approach
We cover both problems:
- In buildings: leak sensors under sinks, by water heaters, in risers and plant rooms. An alert goes out within seconds, and a valve can shut the supply off automatically.
- Outside: ultrasonic level sensors on drainage, watercourses, tanks and slipways send water levels at regular intervals and faster as levels rise, giving early warning of flooding.
The same network and alerting carry both, so one system covers a whole estate from basement to sea wall.
